Inside Sales - Technical Direct 1/29/2019

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Act as first line of contact for Customers and Outside Sales.

Guides direct customers to purchase correct product for their application.

Work with Direct Sales team to build customer relationships in territory. These include proactive “cold” calls and follow up with active/former customers on product performance and future sales potential.

Establishes, develops and maintains relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory to generate new business for the organization’s products and services.

Develops customer accounts by suggesting related and new product items and explaining technical features to customers.

Deep technical knowledge of VEGA products and our competitor’s lines.

Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and making recommendations to management.

Possess basic understanding of VEGA Terms and Conditions to negotiate and assess significance of customer requests.

Travel with Outside Sales in given territory, as needed, to interact with customers and understand the specific needs of their applications.  

Train on products, internal processes and share resources available.

Receive and respond to phone, e-mail and web-based inquiries regarding technical data/support, price, delivery, or application information from customers.

Develop clear and effective quotations for current and prospective customers and VEGA Sales.

Evaluate customer application information and recommend equipment in alignment with customer-defined performance, delivery, and price parameters.

Provide, close, and ensure customer satisfaction of quotes.

Contact customers to determine if a quote is still viable, or if more information is needed.

Request feedback on order/delivery process and success of instrument in the application.

May have the secondary responsibility of entering orders

Educations and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business;

AND customer service experience;

OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
